A two phase
project consisting of deck and roof replacement. |
| |
Phase 1 |
Complete
roof replacement using a cold process Firestone SBS roof system.
Roof
removal and material loading occurred during the night hours
only to lesson tenant disruption.
Debris was bagged, carried through
protected hallways and elevators out to dump trucks at the loading
dock. Trucks were moved nightly.
99% of the tenants in the largest
building in downtown Stockton didn’t even know we were
there.
The system was a multiple ply SBS modified bitumen system
configured to last over 20 years. Cold process asphalt was used
as the inter-ply adhesive and waterproofing agent. Black rubberized
walk pads were installed to protect the new membrane from window
washing equipment. The membrane was covered with aluminum coating
to protect the membrane from harmful U.V. rays.
The Silver and Black roof installed in honor of the Oakland Raiders, came
with a full value 15 year warranty from Firestone Building Products. |

Phase 2 |
Existing
coating removal and bead-blasting started the application of
a Neogard traffic bearing coating made to last over 20 years.
These systems when properly cared for and recoated can last for
more than 20 years.
Again, most of the disruption typical with
these systems occurred at night. During day light hours, precautions
were made to prevent fumes from entering the building.
Both phases
occurred on time and within budget. |
